Emergency Kit

For Your Dog

• 3-5 days of food in waterproof container
• Collapsible water bowl and bottled water
• Medications with dosage instructions
• Vaccination records copies
• Extra leash, collar, and vest
• First aid supplies
• Recent photo for identification

Documentation

• Service dog documentation copies
• Service dog ID card
• Vet contact information
• Emergency contact for backup handler

Evacuation Planning

• Shelters: Must accept service dogs under ADA. Carry documentation.
• Hotels: Must accept service dogs. Book pet-friendly when possible.
• Transportation: Plan multiple evacuation routes with your dog.
• Backup handler: Identify someone who can care for your dog if needed.
